さいきん市長は老人のために遊び場を作りました。老人は子どもににているからかもしれません。十二月のおわりに選挙があったからかもしれません。

En español hay un refrán que dice: “Viejo, viejiño, es como
un niño”. Quiere decir que las personas mayores, los ancianos, acaban siendo
como niños. Supongo que es por eso que el ayuntamiento de esta ciudad ha
construido parques para la tercera edad. ¿O será porque había elecciones a
finales de diciembre?

There is a saying in
Spanish: “Viejo, viejiño, es como un niño” (old people, old dear ones, they are
just like children). It means that elderly people can be compared to children.
I guess that is the reason why this city mayor had recently playgrounds build
for elderly people. Or maybe because we had an election at the end of December?
