夏が終わった - Se acabó el verano - Summer is over

日本を出発したのは、鉛色がかったグレーの空の日。秋みたいな日だった。悲しげな霧雨が途切れなく降っていた。スペイン語では、そんな雨を「chirimiri」（バスク語の"zirimiri"から来ている）、「calabobos」（"濡れるのがバカバカしいほどの雨"を指す）と呼ぶ。
夏が終わった。

Hemos salido de Japón en un día gris, plomizo, casi otoñal. Caía una lluvia fina, triste y persistente que en español llamamos “chirimiri” o “calabobos”.

Summer is over

We have left Japan on a  leaden grey, almost autumnal day. A fine, persistent and sad rain was falling. In Spain we call that spray “chirimiri” (from the Basque zirimiri) or “calabobos” (you must be really stupid to get wet under that rain).
